The website containing all of the documents of the Model for Document Management and Archive Administration (MGD in its Spanish acronym)has been launched. This is the product of work done jointly with EUROsociAL, the cooperation programme of the European Union, and in collaboration with the Organization of American States (OEA).
The RTA is a network for exchange between bodies and/or public institutions that carry out supervision in the area of transparency and access to public information in the region. It is currently comprised of 19 institutions representing 12 countries: Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Argentina and Colombia.
The RTA’s Archives Projectaims to create a common model to serve as a reference for countries that need to create a document management system that is effective while also respecting the diversity of national and regional archiving policies. In addition, it presents a comprehensive view of the different areas of document management and can facilitate decision-making about conservation and availability of documents, taking into account their life cycle at all times.
This site aims to make all the documents that comprise the MGD available to the interested community, particularly to RTA member countries. Its administration will be the responsibility of the RTA Executive Secretariat, held by the Transparency Council of Chile.
