The visit by representatives of the EUROsociAL Programme was organized with the aim of presenting the international cooperation results obtained in the last two years, as well as to discuss cooperation possibilities for 2015.
The representatives of the EUROsociAL Programme, a project financed by the European Commission, were in Brazil on 4th November and recognized the important work being done by the Federal Reserve in international cooperation, especially in the areas of taxpayer assistance, land registry, tax education and sharing tax information between Latin American countries.
Along these lines, they highlighted the Accounting and Tax Support Centres (NAF) project, which has been implemented in various Latin American countries with technical assistance from the Federal Reserve and coordination by the EUROsociAL Programme.
Assistant SecretaryLuiz Fernando Teixeira Nunes, accompanied by the Deputy Secretary of Taxation and Taxpayer Assistance, Carlos Roberto Occaso, the General Coordinator of Taxation, Kleber Gil Zeca, the General Coordinator of Taxpayer Assistance and Tax Education (acting), Antonio Henrique Lindemberg Baltazar, and the General Coordinator of International Relations (acting), Renato Wilson Chaves Lima Jr, welcomed the Coordinator of the Public Finance and Democratic Governance Technical Unit, Ignacio Soleto, and Senior Expert Borja Díaz, both from the FIIAPP-managed EUROsociAL Programme.
On behalf of the Federal Reserve, Assistant Secretary Luiz Fernando Teixeira Nunes thanked the EUROsociAL representatives for the visit and praised the work being done in Latin America.
