La FIIAPP ha organizado los días 6 y 7 de septiembre en Roma (Italia) el Taller “Remesas, educación financiera y la diáspora en acciones de desarrollo”, dirigido a la Comunidad de Bolivianos en Roma.On 6th and 7th September in Rome (Italy), the FIIAPP held the “Remittances, financial education and the diaspora in development actions” workshop aimed at the Bolivian Community in Rome.
This activity was developed under the Pilot Project designed by Bolivia on Remittances and Development, executed through a public-private partnership and civil society between the Ministry of Foreign Relations of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, the Association of the Bolivian Community resident in Rome and Banco Unión S.A.
The objectives of this workshop were the following: strengthen the knowledge of the Bolivian diaspora in Rome in the area of financial education and management, and transmit concepts on how to formulate and implement micro-entrepreneurship and productive projects.
The training sessions covered a range of topics, such as the conceptual framework of the link between remittances, and key concepts in financial education and designing and implementing productive projects. In addition, study cases were presented.
The workshop trained 20 members of the Association of the Bolivian Community in Rome and other associations on financial education and the formulation of productive projects. In addition, representatives of the Bolivian Directorate General for Consular Affairs Banco Unión, the Association of the Bolivian Community in Rome and the FIIAPP, among others, participated in the workshop.
The workshop is part of the “Strengthening dialogue and cooperation between the EU and LAC to establish management models on migration and development policies”project, which is being financed by the EU and implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in close coordination with its partner, the FIIAPP.
