On Sunday, a conference was held to launch the “Reinforcing the Structures of the Centre for Legal and Judicial Research (CRJJ)” project.
A conference to launch the “Reinforcing the Structures for the Centre for Legal and Judicial Research” project was held in Algeria on the 29th of September. This project is designed to promote judicial research in Algeria in order to facilitate the work of law professionals as well as the general public’s access to the justice system.
This project is being executed in a consortium with France with the participation of the French Ministry of Justice and the Spanish General Council of Judicial Power. The launch ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Justice from Algeria and France, the Director of the CRJJ, and the European Commission Delegation of representatives from the Algerian justice sector. Luis Manuel Ugarte, CGPJ Lawyer, and Iñaki Vicuña, Director of the Centre of Judicial Documentation (CENDOJ), represented Spain.
The two-year-long project is financed by the European Commission with a budget of 145,000 Euros. Some 25 activities and work exchanges are expected to be carried out between Algeria, France and Spain.
