National Police agents have dismantled a drug trafficking organisation that brought cocaine into Spain, to be distributed throughout the rest of Europe. 13 people were arrested during this operation, seven in Spain and six in Venezuela, including Brian Colin Charrington, a British delinquent with an extensive record who is among the 10 criminals most wanted by European police, who posted his movements in the drug trafficking world on the internet. 220 kilograms of cocaine were confiscated, which was hidden in an apartment in L’Albir, Alicante, and a legal freeze was put on bank accounts and assets exceeding 5,000,000 million Euros.
The police investigation, coordinated and directed by the Third Court of First Instance of Denia, began at the beginning of 2010 and was made possible thanks to the collaboration of the British SOCA, the ONA of Venezuela and the support of AMERIPOL,including other legal institutions. In the press conference, the police thanked the FIIAPP Foundation, which has participated in the success of this operation through its AMERIPOL program.
