The FIIAPP has added another six cooperation projects in recent months.

The Foundation for International and Ibero-American Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP) has gained six international cooperation projects in the last two months. All of them with the aim of improving the functioning and the legislation of public administrations.
In the coming months, we will work together with the Spanish Ombudsman in Turkey. This project aims to guarantee respect for freedoms and human rights, transparency, justice and the good governance of that country. The EU funds it with over one and a half million euros.
The National Police Force will also work with the FIIAPP on the study and formulation of the terms of reference of a project to fight against the illicit trafficking in counterfeit medicines. To undertake this study, the EU has approved a budget of almost 160,000 euros. The resulting project will be carried out in Ghana, Jordan, Morocco and Senegal.
In Macedonia, we will draw up a Training Plan for the improvement of the public administration and its civil servants, and in Ukraine, together with ADIF, RENFE, INECO and other institutions of the Spanish Ministry of Public Works, we will launch a project to improve railway transport. The FIIAPP will manage a budget of 1.8 million euros from the EU.
In addition, the FIIAPP will be present in Jordan. The Institute for the Diversification and Energy Conservation and Red Eléctrica de España (Spanish National Electricity Grid Operator) will collaborate with the Foundation to improve the planning, management and efficiency of the Jordanian national electricity system.
And, finally, we remain very much present in the Sahel region with a new challenge: to guarantee the stability of Mali in four specific areas: Justice and Security, Reconciliation and Mediation, Reform of the Central Administration and Stabilisation of the situation.
For this, Spainwill send judges, members of the State Security Forces, prosecutors or mediators to Mali who will train the authorities and the administration of that country. The European Union funds this project with one million euros through the EUNIDA network.
Right now, the FIIAPP is managing 75 projects with a total budget of almost 74 million euros. The money comes from the European Union.
